Shuhei Yoshida, the leader of the Sony Worldwide Studios, says that his team is listening to feedback coming from potential PlayStation 4 buyers and will look into the addition of support for both MP3 and DLNA on the home console.

He says on Twitter that, "Thanks for the feedback to the lack of MP3 and DLNA support at the launch of PS4. I'll share with the PS4 Dev team for future consideration."

The new device from Sony is already due to get a major 1.50 system update on launch day, which will add many of the most important features that the company has been promoting.

The PlayStation 4 is described as an entertainment hub and that means it will need to support as many media file formats as possible to cater to the needs of a variety of users.
