Video game hardware maker Sony has announced that it is planning to launch a new video series called PS4 Lab in Japan in order to prepare the fans for the launch of the PlayStation 4, which will feature special guest stars and the revelations about secret development stories.

The content will be offered via the Nico Nico service and will be aired between February 1-21.

Gamers will be able to also learn more about the unique features and services of the PlayStation 4.

The first episode of PS4 Labs is the only one that has been detailed so far, according to DualShockers, and it will feature on The Playroom and on Knack, with Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan President Hiroshi Kawano making an appearance.

The PlayStation 4 has already managed to move 4.2 million units to gamers in 2013 and the total will rise pretty fast when it is finally available on the home Sony market.
