Information from a poll that has targeted more than 2,500 attendees of the coming Game Developers Conference reveals that more of them are planning to develop and launch a game on the PlayStation 4 from Sony than on any other home console.

Half of all those part of the report also plan to launch their game on the PC.

GamesIndustry says that 20 percent of those questioned are saying that the device is their main platform, with 17% of them saying that they plan to deliver their product on the Xbox One from Microsoft.

The figures take into account the fact that most modern titles are launched on more than one of the currently existing platforms.

The PS3 might be an older device, but it still remains an attractive one for about 14 percent of developers, while a slightly smaller number is interested in the Xbox 360.

Nintendo will be disappointed to hear that just about 4 percent of developers are interested in the Wii U at the moment.
