The team at Sony in charge of the PlayStation 4 is launching the first television commercial for the PlayStation 4 home console in Japan, ahead of the February 22 launch date.

The spot is a little weird as it shows how the release of the device took place in a number of other big cities around the world, while also featuring glimpses of gameplay taken from titles like Knack and Killzone: Shadow Fall.

Some Sony fans in Japan have questioned the company’s decision to launch the PlayStation 4 in November in Europe and North America and wait more than three months before delivering it to players in its home country.

Sony has promised that exclusive content will be offered for launch games in Japan and so far has talked about new skins and cooperative content for Killzone: Shadow Fall.

A beta version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is also being prepared for February 22.
