14 DAY TRIAL // A bunch of new details about the DualShock 4 controller for the PlayStation 4 have appeared online, detailing a few more of its attributes, like the new analog sticks or the touchpad.
While Sony didn't present the PlayStation 4 next-gen console last February, it did show off the device's DualShock 4 controller.
Now, in the latest issue of Game Informer, via NeoGAF, a bunch of fresh details have appeared.
According to the magazine, some aspects are still being tweaked by Sony but the analog sticks feel really great as they offer more resistance, are spaced further apart, and they feature a ridge on the top that prevents the thumb from slipping off.
The touchpad supports multi-touch and completely replaces the select/start buttons from the DualShock 3.
There's a small speaker just below the touchpad, and the light-bar on the front will be tracked by the PS4 Eye and can even help adjust the splitscreen experience on the fly.
The controller benefitted from input from many internal studios, but also from external ones like Bungie, who'll bring its new Destiny project onto the PS4.
