After showing off the first PlayStation 4 images and confirming that the next-gen console supports used games, Sony has confirmed that the PS4 is out this winter holiday season in the U.S. and Europe and that it will cost just $399/€399.

The PS4 E3 2013 press conference organized by Sony has just ended and the Japanese company dropped a bombshell right at the conclusion by confirming that the PS4 will be released this holiday season in both the U.S. and Europe.

What's more important, however, is that the PS4 will be priced at 399 USD/EUR, which is a full $100/€100 cheaper than Microsoft's price tag for the Xbox One that's at a steep $499/€499.

No other details about different versions of anything like that have been unveiled, but Sony fans should look forward to hearing more soon.
