A PlayStation 4 console can be connected to the Xbox One device via the HDMI in port, allowing for owners of both consoles to see the display of the PS4 inside the interface of the Xbox One.

The Xbox One features a special HDMI in port through which input from set-top boxes or digital receivers can be gathered by the console and displayed directly or via a picture-in-picture setup.

This feature will allow Xbox One owners to use the console to get extra info about the TV content they're watching right at that time.

Microsoft has confirmed at TGS 2013, via GameSpot, that through the HDMI in port a PlayStation 4 can also be connected, meaning the two next-gen consoles can be used at the same time.

According to Microsoft's Albert Panello, who held the presentation, gamers can play Ryse: Son of Rome on the Xbox One and have Killzone: Shadow Fall on the PS4 snapped into the corner of the screen.
