I was just wondering what will it take to cancel a
PS3 or a
Wii launch. Looks like some store owners are just fed up with gamers and their craving
for game console as they decided not to "do" any more game consoles launches.
The first consoles affected by this decision are the PS3 and the Wii, decision taken by the store's manager in association with local law enforcement and mall management. The store in question is located in Bel Air, Maryland.
Given the presented circumstances, can you blame them? First, some
PS3 campers, along a news reporter, get shot with BB gun pellets while standing in line, and today comes the news that some good-for-nothing losers robbed a GameStop store at gunpoint to get their hands on the precious black cargo.
This Bel Air store is determined not to have anything more to do with Wiis and PS3s as they have "equipped" their phone lines with a message saying that Wii and PS3 launches are canceled. Once you call their number, you will hear this message within 5 seconds of pickup. I know it's sad but someone had to do something and take a stand.
