Sony loses money with each console

I know you're just craving for a PS3. I also know that you think it costs waaay to much. I used to think that too, but once I found out the truth about the cost of the PS3 components, I have found respect for Sony.

Apparently, the PS3 should cost a little bit over US$ 800, as iSuppli reports. They have taken apart a PS3 (yeah, I know it's a crime against humanity), and they have added up the individual price of each component. I'm not going to bore you to death with technical details and other not interesting junk, I'll just tell you the total estimate. Believe it or not, the sum is of US$ 840,00, not to mention manufacturing costs.

How do you fell about Sony's next gen now that you know that they're losing money with every console they make? I know that you won't get one for its US$ 599 retail price anytime soon, but just think that you could pay US$ 300 more.

Yeah, I know Sony is also making money with every PS3 game they sell, but still US$ 300 is a big, big difference between retail price and components cost.
