The new software should improve system stability when installed

Sony has just released a brand new firmware update that takes the PlayStation 3's software up to version 4.41 and improves the stability of the system while eliminating glitches caused by the previous 4.40 firmware.

The PlayStation 3 is still Sony's flagship device and, until the PlayStation 4 is released at the end of the year, the company continues to improve the device through regular software updates.

The latest firmware is version 4.41 and has just been released through the PlayStation Network online service.

According to Sony, the software improves the PS3's system stability.

No other details were given, but owners of the console should expect some of the errors caused by firmware 4.40 to disappear after download the new software via the PSN when their console is connected to the Internet.
