The day before we reported that, according
to Chinese newspaper The Commercial Times, the production of Sony's
PlayStation 3 console has been well under way on the AsusTek Computer assembly lines since the beginning of the month.
Today however, according to other Chinese newspapers, The Taipei Times, AsusTek claimed it is going to sue the newspaper that reported its PS3 production, as the information revealed seemingly affects clients and investors alike, which means Sony may not be in the dark about the whole affair.
Officially, Sony has simply stated that it had already confirmed PS3's production beginning this summer. Is this just a random event or a subtle well orchestrated way of dismissing the recent reports of Cell and Blue-Ray production problems from Sony's part? I smell the latter.
