PlayStation 2 Exclusive Falling Stars Announced

- Dress-up RPG coming this summer

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

It might sound strange now, but PlayStation 2 exclusives are still being developed and - what matters most for us – really good games have hit the market for the last-gen console. One of the game developers that still has faith in the powers of the PS2 is Agetec and it has already announced
Falling Stars, an RPG game that will be released during this summer.

Even though the game won't be something you could call "eye-candy" and despite the story being a bit odd, we should really appreciate the fact that the gameplay is said to be great and the overall experience offered by Falling Stars will be an unforgettable one.

We'll take the role of Luna, a girl that will soon begin a fight against her own uncle and the dark, strange forces that possess him (of course, in order to save her village from destruction). The young girl, living in Dazzleton, was hoping to move one day to a bigger and better city, but she now has to change her plans when her uncle, Matt, finds a mine with hidden powers – powers so strong that they will drive him mad and turn his skin green. With the help of one of her uncle's pets, Luna will embark on a quest she was never ready for, but that will definitely change her life forever.

"The best part about this game is not only does it have the usual RPG elements: intriguing storyline, quests, missions, battles, and so forth, but it gives you an opportunity to be creative and customize Luna’s attire," says producer Mark Johnson. "The dress-up portion is what really makes the game stand out; not only can you dress Luna to your liking, but what you wear will also affect how neighbors will treat you. If neighbors like the way you dress, they will start offering you missions, quests, mini-games – they’ll even offer you better prices and trades; however, if they don’t like the way you dress, they might not even talk to you!"

The translation to this would be something like: you'll spend most of your time dressing up a chick. If you think that's a great thing, get your PlayStation 2 ready and prepare for a really hot summer. With Falling Stars, of course.
