A new mobile application was made available for download for mobile phones running under Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating system, namely Play.fm Music Streaming Service for DJ Mixes.

The new application is meant to offer users the possibility to access live recorded DJ Mixes from clubs and festivals all around the world, and is touted as the leading mobile software that can do so.

“Play.fm is the #1 music app for listening to live recorded DJ Mixes from clubs and festivals all over the world,” the app is described in the Windows Phone 7 app portal.

Among the features that the Windows Phone 7 application comes with, we can count:

- Listen to top-ranked DJs from over 180 countries - Get instant access to mixes recorded live in clubs, at festivals and radio shows - Sort DJ mixes by editorial features, popularity and most recent - Search and find your favorite mixes instantly - Filter mixes by genres - Jump to your favorite part within any mix with audio skipping to the second - Share mixes with your friends on Facebook and Twitter

The new lay.fm Music Streaming Service for DJ Mixes application was made available for download via the Windows Phone Marketplace, where it is priced at $2.99 (£2.49).

Developed by Play.fm GmbH, the application would offer 90 days of unlimited use for all users, after which there will be only five hours free listening time per month.

The new Play.fm mobile application for Windows Phone 7 is currently available as version 1.0.0.0, and weighs in at 1.10 MB. No trial version of the software was made available for the time being.
