Co-Optimus is announcing that, as part of their cooperative play game night, developers from the team that created Gears of War 2 will be joining regular players all over the world in tackling both the single player campaign and the vicious Horde mode.

The event will take place on January 15, today, at 7:30 PM Eastern Pacific Time, which means 2:30 PM GMT for all those players who do not live in the United States of America.

Co-Optimus is an Internet site dedicated to cooperative gaming and the guys there apparently like to practice a little of what they preach, so they organize regular events during which the editors and readers play these kinds of games. This event will be even more special with the addition of some members of the team that made Gears of War 2 playing their own baby.

Gears of War 2 features a single player campaign that can be played all the way through by two players, so that will be part of the night gaming schedule. Also, those involved will be able to play some Horde mode, where a team of human players needs to last as long as possible against incoming waves of Locust assailants.

If you are interested in joining the gaming night, you can send a friend request to the co optimus gamertag or you can simply search the available games list for the games marked with that tag. Be sure to be there as the event starts, as a lot of gamers will likely jump at the chance of playing with the developers of Gears of War 2. The following gamer tags will be involved in the events of the night: EpicDev1 (Epic); EpicDev2 (Epic); EpicDev3 (Epic); BAPenguin (Co-Optimus); pherbear (Co-Optimus); DjinniMan (Co-Optimus); co optimus (Co-Optimus).
