About 3 years ago, Courtney Stodden, aka a 16-year-old girl who married much older actor Doug Hutchison in Las Vegas, shot to fame under the obvious nickname of “Teen Bride.” Today, looking more like a plastic Barbie than her old self, Courtney is ready for life as a single woman, while revealing one of the reasons for divorce.

Courtney sat down for an interview with E! News on the topic of her divorce from Hutchison (as also did he, as you can see in the video below, embedded at the end of this article) and, among other things, she also revealed the number one reason they fought all the time: her transformation into said plastic Barbie through plastic surgery and other beauty tricks.

The video of the interview is available at the link and, we might as well add, it’s worth watching if only to see Courtney giggle uncontrollably while explaining how heartbroken she is over the end of her marriage.

On the topic of plastic surgery though she says Doug never consented to her having work done because he felt she was perfect the way she was born and would therefore “falsify” herself by turning herself into a different woman.

“Physically speaking, he was not involved in that. That's actually one aspect of our relationship where we fought so much. He did not want me to, for instance, get hair extensions. He fought me tooth and nail,” Courtney explains.

Doug reacted in the same manner when she asked him if she could get fake eyelashes, and she now finds the whole thing very amusing – that she’d asked him like she was “a little girl,” for permission to apply fake eyelashes.

“He was so in love with me and he was, like, ‘You're beautiful the way you are,’ kind of like the au naturel, organic thing. He was like, ‘You're beautifully organically, why would you change something that's perfect?’ That made me want to do it more!,” she giggles.

“So, he just loved me so much the way that I was. But you know, I'm happier now. People are going to judge somebody regardless, if they're in the media or otherwise. They just judge. But I'm happy with the way that I look,” Courtney adds.

She also stresses she’s a very confident girl, as if to say that whatever work she has had done so far is not the result of low self-esteem but rather an attempt at making herself attain her own ideal of perfection.

Courtney, as you can also see in the photo attached to this article, has had lip injections just recently. She probably knows they look ridiculously disproportionate, because she says in the interview that they will eventually go down because “it’s not like I had lip implants or anything.”
