Celebrities are the best and worst examples of plastic surgery. As the queen of all cosmetic interventions, the record holder for world’s most plastic surgeries, Cindy Jackson says, when one has good work done, no one can tell. Woe to those who have bad plastic surgery.

In a recent interview cited by The OC Register’s In Your Face column, Jackson shares her professional opinion on the kind of interventions several high profile celebrities have had.

As we also noted on a previous occasion, Jackson isn’t only the woman with the most interventions (a total of 52), but she also has lots of experience as a plastic surgery consultant.

John Travolta, for instance, gets major points for the subtle work he’s had done to his face, because it’s perfectly balanced and, while there’s a slight difference in the before and after shots, no one can pinpoint exactly what he had changed.

At the opposite pole, Nicolas Cage gets a thumbs-down for his apparent love of cheap hair plugs, especially since it would be so easy for him, with the kind of money he has, to get a follicle-by-follicle hair transplant – and no one would be the wiser.

Travolta too wears wigs but at least he makes them work for him, Jackson says.

Reality star Heidi Montag is the worst possible celebrity to look up to in terms of plastic surgery: she had too much work done in too little time, and this also explains why she’s now so unhappy with her looks.

“The problem with having 10 things done at once is that you don’t know how they’re going to interact together on your face and body – you don’t know how your overall look is going to change. Maybe that’s why she’s rejected the way she looks now – it was too much,” Jackson says.

Jackson also believes Sylvester Stallone deserves praises for the interventions to his face, which hardly betray his age, though there are many out there who would disagree with her on that point.

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne are also two of the stars who have had lots of work done over time, to the best results.

“Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have both had facelifts, nose jobs and their eyes done – and they both look really good. I remember Sharon from the ‘80s when I was in a rock band – she looked totally different then. She looks amazing now, so I give her full credit,” says Jackson.

The same goes for members of the Kardashian clan and Kim in particular, who has often been accused of having a wide array of things done, from filler injections to her lips, to too much Botox, breast and backside implants.
