Thinking about the constant pressure to look good, actress and trendsetter Sarah Jessica Parker has come to the conclusion that plastic surgery is for stars a double-edged sword.

Whichever they may choose, they will still stand very little chances of getting away with it, the star reveals in a recent interview as cited by Make Me Heal.

On more than one occasion, SJP was named the top least attractive female in showbiz, a distinction that would have been more than enough to make a lesser confident woman turn to surgery.

Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, Jessica has always maintained. Given that plastic surgery can also prove to be a sword that cuts both ways, it’s no wonder why she chooses to age gracefully.

Bottom line is that, if stars go under the knife, they’re criticized for their decision. If they don’t, they’re criticized for being human – and old, Jessica says.

As she sees it, there is literally no way out, other than trying to grow old as gracefully as possible and to use her money to purchase only the best cosmetic products available.

“If you do it, you’re strung up in the town square. If you don’t do it, they tell you you look old,” the actress says of how she feels about getting surgery.

Though she too is rumored to have had a few interventions – like one on her nose and another to add more volume to her chest – she insists she’s had no Botox and no cosmetic surgery.

“I believe in aging gracefully. And, of course, buying as many anti-aging creams as possible,” Parker adds of which is her secret to still being as stunning as she is without a surgeon’s help.

In fact, if it weren’t for this buzz around plastic surgery in recent years, SJP would probably not even give it a second thought, she admits.

“I’ve had no Botox, no collagen, nothing. I have lines, but if some of my peers weren’t having things done, I wouldn’t think about it,” the star reveals.
