Brace yourself for a new reality series that aims to show you the very ugly side of plastic surgery. It’s called Botched (an appropriate name considering what you see in the trailer) and it premieres on June 24 on E!, the network that also brought us the Kardashians in all their glory.

Embedded below is the first trailer for this new show, released the other day.

Some of the cases included are downright scary, like that lady with the oversized lips or that young woman who finds out her breast implant had actually been inserted upside down.

The idea of the show is that it will have cameras trail along plastic surgery addicts who are looking to have yet another intervention to fix a botched procedure. The team who will help them is comprised of Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif.

If these two names ring a bell with you, it’s probably because you’ve already seen them on other shows: Dubrow is the husband of Heather Dubrow of Real Housewives of Orange County, while Nassif is the ex-husband of Adrienne Maloof of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

There will be no shortage of familiar faces among the patients either: from this brief trailer, you might have already picked out a couple, especially that of Janice Dickinson and Justin Jedlica.

Janice likes to call herself “the original supermodel,” as in, she considers herself the first internationally famous supermodel. She may have been that in her heyday but, these days, Janice makes money by selling her personal life: she’s already been on a string of reality shows talking about her addictions and her personal troubles and, now, she’s doing this plastic surgery series.

In between reality TV shows, Janice keeps herself relevant by being scandalous in public whenever there’s paparazzi around.

Jedlica too is a very controversial figure. Known as Ken Doll because he spent a fortune on countless surgeries to make him look like an “ideal” man, until not long ago, he was saying either that he was addicted to plastic surgery or that he had no problem with keeping his obsession in check because he was making art out of his body.

Apparently, he’s now botched too and he’s in dire need of a fix. The irony is that Jedlica earns his living from paid appearances and from putting in hours as a plastic surgery counselor: that is to say, people actually pay him money to hear his advice on whatever work they’d need done. Will they still do so after the show airs?

We’ll see. Botched premieres later this month: do you plan on tuning in for it?
