Plasma Active Two, a technology used to enhance the browsing experience on mobile devices such as tablets and other similar devices, has just been released.

We must admit that the development cycle for KDE Plasma Active has bee a fast one and the developers weren't idle. The first iteration, Plasma Active One was released in October, but in only two months, the tablet environment has come a long way.

According to the developers, the Activities view was improved and now it allows for vertical resizing. This means that no matter how many items you have listed, the operations will run smoother and faster.

Other changes are more subtle. Font settings and power management defaults were tweaked, the QtQuick-based user interface was refined, and there are also improvements to the basic browser navigation.

Plasma Active Two has better performance, as in some cases is more than 10 times faster than Plasma Active One. A complete and comprehensive list of changes can be found on the official website.
