Renowned casual games developer and publisher PopCap has announced that Plants vs. Zombies is now free to own on iPhone and iPad. Grab it now before the offer expires!
A high-definition, multi-touch adaptation of the PopCap hit game originally launched on desktop computers, Plants vs. Zombies has won no less than 30 Game of the Year awards.
For those who aren’t very familiar with the developers, PopCap are the same guys who created Bejeweled, Peggle, Zuma and Bookworm.
In Plants vs. Zombies, a mob of zombies is about to invade your home and you need to defend it with 49 zombie-zapping plants.
The game is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. On iPhone and iPod touch, it requires iOS 4.3 or later. On the iPad, the requirements list mentions iOS 3.2, which means even the original tablet is good to go.
