Before the month of May is over, mobile phone users who own devices running under Google's Android operating system would have the possibility to enjoy a new, highly addictive game on their devices, namely Plants vs. Zombies from PopCap Games.

The company has just announced that the new mobile game is expected to become available for users later during this month, exclusively on the Amazon Appstore for Android.

The game would be offered for free on the first day of availability, after which it would go for US$2.99. Only Android users in the United States would have the opportunity to give the game a try, it seems.

Plants vs. Zombies would be the second game that the company is bringing to the Android platform this month, and would be preceded by Chuzzle, also available through Amazon's app store for free for the first day of availability, today.

“Our relationship with Amazon is pivotal to PopCap’s overall strategy in bringing a growing roster of mobile titles to the ever-widening base of smartphone users,” noted Giordano Bruno Contestabile, PopCap’s senior director of global product and business strategy for mobile.

”By making these titles available on the Android platform, we’ll significantly extend the reach of our top franchises to legions of new mobile customers and gaming fans alike.”

Plants vs. Zombies is already available for users of Apple's iOS operating system, as well as for desktop PCs. So far, the title has made only good impressions, and should appeal a lot to Android users too.

Chuzzle for Android is a great game too, with on-the-go gameplay action, featuring four different modes for expanded level configurations and virtually limitless game play: Classic Mode, Zen Mode, Mind-Bender Mode, and Speed Mode.

“PopCap is a brand synonymous with great mobile games, and we’re thrilled to offer our customers Chuzzle and Plants vs. Zombies for Android exclusively through the Amazon Appstore,” stated Aaron Rubenson, category leader at Amazon.
