The development team at PopCap Games and publisher Electronic Arts are suggesting that they are getting ready to launch PlayStation 4 and PS3 versions for their Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare in the near future.

The teaser comes from the official Twitter channel of the company, which has posted the image linked to this article and says that an official announcement might come soon, although no actual date was mentioned.

Sly Cooper is a series that has always been exclusive to PlayStation platforms and its mix with the Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare look might mean that exclusive characters will be offered to those who buy the game on the home consoles.

At the moment, the shooter can be played on the Xbox One and the older 360 from Microsoft and it will also be offered on the PC in the near future.

PopCap Games has managed to create a pretty solid mix between the world of Plants vs. Zombies and the shooter standards created by DICE for the Battlefield series.

The game has been criticized by some gamers for the limited number of modes offered, but the development team says that it will address this via downloadable content that is offered for free.
