Although Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android is a successful game, it's far from being as popular as the predecessor. With less than 5 million downloads on Google Play Store, Plants vs. Zombies 2's pool of players continue to diminish every day.

Which is why EA decided to make some major changes to the gameplay mechanics and how players can unlock new levels.

After eliminating the key and stars systems that did not allow players to advance into the game unless that managed to gather a certain amount of keys or stars, developer EA is now offering players interesting prizes if they continue to play.

In the latest update for Plants vs. Zombies 2, EA confirmed Piñata Party alerts have been translated to make it easier for players to win mighty prizes. Aside from that, no other changes have been added.

You can now download Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android 1.8 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind the game should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3 and up.
