Plants vs. Zombies addicts will be pleased to hear EA has just update the sequel to one of the most popular tower defense video games ever released on the PC and mobile platform.

The major update has been released on Google Play Store and those who already have Plants vs. Zombies 2 installed on their Android devices will be automatically notified on availability.

The first thing players will notice is the fact that they will now be able to skip the map and move from level to level with ease, as EA has been seeding up the level progression.

The update also adds Piñata Party, where players get to battle zombies from all worlds in a special modern day front yard level for big prizes.

Keep in mind though that Piñata Parties are only available for 24 hours at a time and if players successfully beat three consecutive parties they can win a “mind-blowing mega prize by whacking open the massive Señor Piñata.”

You can now download Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3 and up.
