Headsets come in many shapes and sizes, depending on what they are meant for and what price they are supposed to hold close to, and Plantronics just revealed its newest Voyager series, one that doesn't mind sporting a larger size than most.

The Plantronics Voyager PRO HD is the latest wireless headset that Plantronics developed, one that can pick up the slack whenever someone calls you and last a whole day while doing so.

More specifically, the product boasts the integrated Smart Sensor technology, which detects incoming phone calls and automatically transfers them to the headset itself.

This is a big benefit for people that drive a lot or just don't have enough hands and/or fingers to go about all the things they need to do in a day.

Also, by means of a locking call mechanism, the automatic call relaying element is stopped when the headset is removed from the ear.

Indeed, the Plantronics Voyager PRO HD can tell when it is being worn or not and will even pause other audio streams (music and such) upon being taken off.

Plantronics went further and threw in Vocalyst Voice and Text Services (lets one listen to e-mail or text messages, post on Facebook/Twitter, etc.) and “award-winning sound quality” (noise cancellation, three layers of wind noise reduction technology and other perks).

“Plantronics technology is about improving the communications experience and delivering instinctive products that simplify your everyday life,” said Elizabeth Hamren, vice president of Marketing, Plantronics.

“The Voyager PRO HD and the latest release of InstantMeeting redefine mobile productivity so you can quickly and easily get connected and get on with your work and life.”

The Voyager PRO HD has a price of $99.99 (73.30 Euro) and should already be up for sale through various retailers in the US.

Plantronics also offers the InstantMeeting app, for $4.99 (3.65 Euro), which links conference calls from iPhones, BlackBerry and Android phones with a single touch.
