Today, Plantronics, Inc., leading provider of personal audio communications solutions, announced the launch of Plantronics Explorer 395 Bluetooth headset. According to the company, the new product can prove a great option for first-time Bluetooth users, as it comes with a compact, classic design, with high-quality audio performance capabilities, an affordable price and ease of usage.

“Consumers buying their first Bluetooth headset are most concerned with usability. Product set up and basic operations, such as placing and receiving phone calls, must be intuitive,” said Jeff Ducote, category director for Bluetooth products at Plantronics. “The Explorer 395 achieves this and goes a step further by combining simplicity with great audio quality, reliability and attractive styling.”

The new Plantronics Explorer 395 comes with dedicated buttons for volume, power on/off and call answer/end, which are meant to offer ease of use, while eliminating the confusion that a single, multi-use button creates. Moreover, the product comes with universal compatibility, and it includes Plantronics’ QuickPair technology that offers a fast and easy setup with any Bluetooth-enabled handset.

According to the company, the new Plantronics Explorer 395 sports precision microphone placement, which has been coupled with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology for noise, echo and wind distortion reduction. Additionally, the DSP technology is meant to enhance the inbound audio, ensuring that words are heard on each side of the conversation.

The Plantronics Explorer 395 weighs in at only 11 grams, being both lightweight and discreet. A long-lasting battery included in the device provides users with up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 7 days of standby time, the company notes. Users can further save energy via Explorer 395’s designated slide on/off switch. Featuring a contoured ear tip and an ergonomically designed swivel earloop, it should deliver a comfortable, stable fit, while including premium design accents, and being offered in black/silver and bronze/silver colors.

The Plantronics Explorer 395 Bluetooth headset comes to the market with a price tag of $49.95, available for purchase online via Best Buy and on Plantronics' website. The headset is also set to become available via Apple and Sprint stores this summer.
