Planetside 2, the first-person shooter MMO from Sony Online Entertainment, is now live all over the world and those players who want to get a taste of what the game has to offer can also watch the new trailer, called Future of War.

Planetside 2 is a free-to-play game, meaning that anyone can download the client, which is also handily available on Steam, and jump right into the game.

Those who are willing to pay get access to quicker resource accumulation and bigger pools, but SOE says that it wants to keep the MMO competitive and never give a clear advantage to those who spend money in Planetside 2.

The MMO will allow players to create a character, pick their loadout and then choose one of three factions who are fighting over the planet of Auraxis and its three continents.
