14 DAY TRIAL // Planetary Annihilation is an RTS developed and published by Uber Entertainment on Steam and now the Linux players can buy it with a ridiculous 80% price cut set to expire on January 12.
Planetary Annihilation has been in the works for a long time and it's built by an indie studio. They got a part of the necessary funds from a Kickstarter project and they also launched the game on Steam, through the Early Access program, well before being really finished. The game has been declared stable for a few months now, although some of the users who are commenting on Steam say that it's still missing some components and that it's unbalanced.
The guys at Uber Entertainment had the game discounted before, but never with this price. In any case, the devs are still actively working on the project and they are releasing content on a constant basis. It might seem a little steep at full price, given the problems reported by the users, but with an 80% discount it's really not a difficult decision.
Planetary Annihilation is a complex RTS
This game is best described as a competitive RTS game that has been built with multiplayer in mind, but it also comes with a single-player campaign. It's straight forward and it should be pretty easy to learn, even for beginners.

The system requirements for the Planetary Annihilation are not really big. Users will need at least a 64-bit dual-core processor, 8 GB or RAM, an Open GL 3.2+ capable video card, and 2 GB of HDD space.
The promotion for Planetary Annihilation ends on January 12.
