An Air India passenger jet and a Jet Blue parked aircraft have been involved in a minor collision at JFK airport during the weekend.

K Pop Starz writes that the larger Air India plane was landing and, as it was being parked on the taxiway, clipped a wingtip on the Jet Blue plane.

“There was a noise. You could feel the vibration but I didn't know what happened,” one of the Air India passengers describes.

The Jet Blue pilot contacted airport crew to ask about the collision, not knowing if the plane was hit.

“I don't know what happened if someone just hit us or what?” the pilot asked.

“The report we're getting right now is the tow bar snapped upon pushback that's the probably the jolt you felt,” JFK operators responded.

“No, no, no, no, no, that happened five or six minutes ago we just got hit or something happened,” he stressed.

The incident occurred on Saturday, March 9, at 6:19 a.m., as the Jet Blue was getting ready for takeoff for West Palm Beach.

Its rudder incurred damages and passengers had to be evacuated and moved to a different plane to complete their trip.

“The customers were deplaned and boarded a new aircraft bound for West Palm Beach,” a Jet Blue spokesman explains.

Air India Flight 102 struck the Airbus A320 set to perform Flight 145 as it reached Terminal 4. The plane was then moved towards the gate and parked there. The collision left it needing a tow bar replacement.

“There were no injuries and, not too long after that, passengers that were on the plane went on a new flight and were taken out,” a source tells the NY Post.

“At the end of the day, this is a minor situation,” the source adds.
