Microsoft has again created a new temporary software section in the Windows Store that brings a collection of applications in the spotlights and gives them a bit more exposure.

This time, the company showcases apps to help you plan a road trip, including weather apps, traffic info tools, tip calculators and radio players.

“Getting ready for a road trip with family or friends? These apps will help you before, during, and after your trip. Plan your route, explore local attractions, listen to your favorite tunes, and share photos from your trip,” it’s mentioned in the description of the new software category.

Among the included apps, it’s worth mentioning AccuWeather for Windows 8, UrbanSpoon, Memorylage, PhotoWirl, INRIX Traffic, Tip Calculator with Friends and the official Hotels.com application, most of which are available free of charge.
