If you watched the Opening Ceremony for the 2014 FIFA World Cup last night, chances are that you haven't missed the performance that Jennifer Lopez gave at the end, accompanied by Pitbull the rapper and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte. It's also very possible that you couldn't take your eyes off Pitbull's ridiculously high-wasted, short-legged, white pants.

And it wasn't just the pants in particular, it was his overall outfit, because he chose to pair those pants four sizes too small with a pair of white loafers and a yellow Brazil football jersey, which he tucked into his pants. Yes, it was all kinds of hot.

The press and the internet immediately responded and now Pitbull finds himself with a lot more nicknames than he's ever cared for in his life. Page Six calls him “Harry High Pants,” Buzzfeed called the pants “diaper pants” and “mom jeans,” and the internet went all out and called him things like “the Cuban Simon Cowell.”

Whereas Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte sizzled in tight, sparkly leotards that showed off plenty of leg, Pitbull came in looking like a retired man from Florida with a bad tan and bad tattoos. This made some Twitter users wonder if Pitbull's wardrobe wasn't lost at the airport and they ended up giving him Jennifer Lopez's pants instead.

Actually, that looks like a very viable scenario if you take a look at the photos of the two singers standing side by side. Ironically, just days ago, Jennifer did a funny skit on Jimmy Fallon in which she sang and bragged about her “tight pants,” and now people think Pitbull was inspired by that.

“Did they not have a sparkly leotard in Pitbull's size?” wonders one Twitter user, while another can't help but make the following comparison: “Pitbull looks like he'd be trying to sell you half price shots as you walk down the strip.”

Jennifer Lopez should be thankful though, because Pitbull's pants have managed to grab the public's attention from her less than perfect performance of the World Cup anthem “We Are One (Ole Ola),” in which she basically shouted at the audience throughout the song.

Some reporters speculated ironically that her microphone must have been turned to a very low volume setting, while others claimed that it was turned off altogether. Regardless of what the reason was, Jenny did a lot of shouting and not much singing.

And because of her tone and the fact that she kept screaming “Put your hands up!” and “Braaaazil!” she sounded like she was trying to stick up the people in the audience along with the rest of the country. But hey, at least she didn't have ridiculous pants on like Pitbull!
