Recently, Piriform updated their system inventory tool, Speccy, to version 1.22. The fresh build adds new capabilities to the list and a couple of improvements.

New in this revision is information from the temperature sensor being displayed in the system tray. Furthermore, Speccy can now detect the read and write capability of the optical drives connected to the system.

It can also show details about the graphics card manufacturer as well as the model number of the component. The app can now provide details about the newest AMD and Intel central processing units and the network section displays the MAC addresses.

As far as improvements are concerned, the developer worked on better detection of the computer type for virtual machines and lowered the impact on system resources (CPU and RAM).
