14 DAY TRIAL // It's not yet clear if the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge has just gone off the market, but the rumor mill is spinning like crazy. Us Weekly was the first to report what an insider confirmed was an engagement between Pippa Middleton and banker boyfriend Nico Jackson.
The happy event is said to have taken place during their recent trip to India. While in country, the couple stayed at the Oberoi Amarvilas, a five-star resort which offers breathtaking views of that famous Indian landmark – the Taj Mahal.
The resort's luxury suites cost around €1,900 ($2,606) per night but, despite its steep prices, it managed to gain a reputation as a popular spot for proposals, which only added fuel to the engagement fire.
The source cited by Us Weekly said that “It was exactly how he planned it. Very romantic and grand!” Despite these rumors, Pippa has not been seen wearing a ring as photographers snapped shots of the happy couple at their arrival on December 10. They just looked tanned and relaxed.”
This is not the first time the 30-year-old sister of the Duchess of Cambridge was rumored to be engaged. In September, there were again engagement rumors when Pippa posted a column in The Telegraph about how to pick the best bouquet for social gatherings and how her future wedding would be. Again, the rumor died when there was no ring to be seen on her finger.
The couple have been going out for 13 months and it would seem the “natives are getting restless.” Though it won't be the royal wedding her sister enjoyed, Pippa's nuptials are still probably going to attract a lot of attention.
But, until she steps out with the rock on her finger, speculations are the only guess we have for the moment.
