A pipe breaking has caused a small tsunami in the metropolis of Rio De Janeiro in Brazil. The clip posted above captures the moment after the pipe ruptured, sending water pouring on the busy city streets.

A type of waterfall formed, and the area near the spot where the pipe broke was quickly flooded with sewage water.

According to French online Publication 20 Minutes, at least three people have been injured in the incident. One of them is a child who incurred serious injuries.

Several people climbed on vehicles and waited for emergency services to transport them. Ambulances and fire trucks were sent out to the scene in the eastern Campo Grande neighborhood.

There was a lot of garbage flowing on the streets after the pipeline ruptured, witnesses have described.

The cause of the breakage has not been disclosed at this time but I will keep you updated as this story progresses.
