Pioneer has just made available a new firmware package targeted at its BCS home cinema series, namely version 62.62.06, which can be installed regardless of the operating system employed on your computer.

This new update is compatible with Pioneer’s BCS-222, BCS-323, BCS-424, and BCS-727 systems, and it can also be applied on the BCS-FS525, BCS-FS121, and BCS-SB626 devices, as well as on the BCS-HW929 and BCS-HF828 products.

If installed, Pioneer’s release adds support for a new and original way of accessing YouTube, and includes some performance and stability improvements as well.

As for applying this new version, get and expand the downloadable archive, copy its content onto a formatted USB drive, and connect the stick to the system’s front panel. Afterwards, power on the device and go to Home Menu → Initial Setup → Options → Update → USB Storage.

Now, if you press “Enter,” the unit will start updating the firmware (so make sure you don’t interrupt it), and when it finishes, it will display a “Update has completed successfully!” message and reboot. All you need to do now is to disconnect the USB device and that’s all.

That being said, download Firmware 62.62.06 for Pioneer BCS Home Cinema Series, take into account the above-mentioned aspects, apply it to the device, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
