14 DAY TRIAL // Pioneer has just released new firmware for AppRadio 3 SPH-DA110 and SPH-DA210 products. The new release offers the in-dash car receivers MirrorLink support for Sony Xperia devices and improved GPS communication when using compatible navigation apps with an iPhone 5.
The update procedure is common and requires a formatted USB flash drive as well as the archive available for download at the link below.
After you've saved the zip to your PC, extract it to the memory stick I've mentioned above. Safely remove the drive and take it with you to the AppRadio 3 device. Plug it in the USB port of the dash receiver, then put the ignition to the “On” position. Power up the AppRadio 3.
Swipe through the icons and tap “Settings”. Next, tap the cog-looking icon so the “System” screen would appear. Scrolling down, you should find the “Firmware Update.” Select it, but first make sure the parking brake is applied.
Follow the on-screen instructions and be patient until the installation is complete. Do not turn off the ignition or power off the device. After the update is complete and the device restarts, remove the USB drive.
