Pinta, a drawing/editing software modeled after Paint.NET, including common tools like Paintbrush, Pencil, Shapes, Eraser, and Selections, is now at version 1.2.

There are not a lot of drawing and editing software for the Linux platform, especially free ones, so it's good that people are trying to make new applications for this niche. Pinta 1.2 contains numerous fixes and improvements, among which we can mention:

· Switched the order of getting current scale and changing image size to new size; · Add the bottom widgets to the ActionArea for DefaultResponse to work; · A fix that prevents a breakdown of canvas where size would be set to 0 because of zooming too far out on a small image, has been implemented; · Added text bg fill to translation template; · Added text option "filled background".

There's no official announcement yet, but a detailed changelog can be found on the GIT sources.
