Before she became pregnant with her first child, Pink was famous for her athletic figure, which required her to spend a lot of time at the gym. She is almost back to her pre-pregnancy body, but the star admits the journey wasn't as easy as she expected.

Fans must already know that Pink is getting ready for a music comeback, with a brand new album scheduled to arrive in stores later this year.

While working on new music and being a new mommy, the star also had to find the time to shed the extra weight – about 55 pounds (24.9 kg) which she gained while with child.

She now tells Cosmopolitan that she owes her new body to a mostly vegan diet and very intensive workouts, there's no magic bullet for it.

Each day, the singer makes sure she breaks a proper sweat at the gym: she does one hour of cardio and another hour of strength-training or yoga.

She doesn't like to limit her food intake, but she's careful to eat mostly vegan, though she will occasionally indulge in chicken or fish.

For her husband's 37th birthday, Pink treated him to a genuine vegan feat in San Francisco, including dishes like tortellini with fava beans, summer truffles, dinosaur kale and red pearl onions.

In the same interview, Pink admits that she did not necessarily feel very glamorous while pregnant, though she did have moments when she had fun gaining weight.

“I thought I’d feel like a goddess. They sell you on that [expletive], like you’ll never feel more feminine. Really, I just felt like a mess, but I kind of enjoyed that too. Hell, yeah, I gained 55 pounds. I think my baby may be part cheesecake,” she says.

“I like feeling strong,” she says of going back to her regular, intense workouts.

“It keeps my mental floor higher. Even if it’s a pain in the [butt] and you hate working out, the endorphins help,” she continues.
