Pink Has Special Happy Birthday Message for Ellen DeGeneres

Pink and Ellen DeGeneres have been friends for a while and it shows in the very special present the singer came up with for Ellen's birthday. You can see it below, embedded at the end of the article.

Ellen turned 54 on January 26 and, to mark such a happy occasion, Pink brought in a little help.

Shooting from outside her home, she sends nothing but kind wishes to the talk show host, before adding that she also has a surprise for her.

“Hi Ellen. I love you, I love you, I love you. Happy happy happy birthday. I wish you this year freedom, love, laughter, sleeping in late, getting lots of rest,” Pink says.

“I want to show you a surprise. I have a surprise just because I love you. A very rare and special treat. Someone wants to say hello,” she adds.

In one of the rooms she's entered, there's her 8-month daughter Willow and Pink's husband Carey Hart. She picks Willow up and has her waving at the camera – and Ellen.

“Say, 'Hi Ellen, I was on your show last year',” Pink says, smiling.

This is the second time that the singer allows cameras into her home, though it's for a different purpose than in June 2011, when she invited a photographer to take her and Willow's picture.

As we also noted at the time, because she'd grown tired of being hounded by the paparazzi, Pink and Carey took matters into their own hands – and released a photo of Willow to discourage the paps from following them around.

Also then, she penned an open letter for them, telling them it was unfair to treat celebrities' kids this way: while they, the celebrities, had made a conscious choice of being in the spotlight, the children did not – and neither were they able to hide out from the spotlight shone on them.
