Samsung Galaxy S II in pink is already available for purchase in South Korea. The handset was launched last year in November and is about to make its debut in Europe in the following weeks.

After Phones4U announced last week that it had started to take pre-orders for the pink Galaxy S II, which is available for free on a select two-year plan starting at £21.50 monthly with O2 UK, another major retailer announces the upcoming availability of the smartphone.

Expansys UK plans to sell the pink-flavored Galaxy S II as well. Today the retailer unveiled the price of the device, which is set around £439.99 (685 USD or 525 EUR), as well as the date when it is available for purchase, ‘the week commencing February 13.’

According to Expansys, the pink-themed Galaxy S II is “officially called 'rose' in colour, but we've rarely seen a rose quite as vibrantly pink as pictures indicate the new Galaxy S II to be. Nethertheless we're sure this new addition to the S II range will prove as hugely popular as the white and original black models.”

Obviously, nothing is changed inside, so expect the pink variant of Galaxy S II to feature a stunning 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen with support for 480 x 800 pixels resolution, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass.

In addition, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual core Exynos processor, a Mali-400MP graphics processing unit, 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 8GB memory card included).

Software-wise, the Galaxy S II is still stuck on Gingerbread, but Samsung stated that Ice Cream Sandwich would be pushed in Q1 2012.

On a side note, Expansys UK also confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S II was their biggest selling phone of 2011.
