While most celebrities surround themselves with tens of personal bodyguards and as many assistants as possible to keep the crowd of fans at bay each time they make a public appearance, Pink is the only one to make an exception.
The singer, real name Alicia Moore, said in a recent interview that she never has and never will hire a guard to protect her as long as she feels she can defend herself against anyone. The aggressively looking star says her image is more than enough to keep all those harm-meaning individuals at a safe distance, just as it happened in the last couple of years.
'People already think I'm scary so they stay away', Pink explained, adding that she doesn't believe that hiring some stranger can help improve your life. It certainly doesn't improve your image as a public person, according to her: 'I don't believe in it. I think it promotes an energy that you are trying to stay away from people'.
Furthermore, besides not liking to be separated from her fans by the arms of a strongly-built bodyguard, Pink sees herself fit enough to fight not one assailant but more, if that be the case. 'I can pretty much hold my own - except against guns, obviously. But anything else I could take care of, I haven't had a fight for a couple of years', she said.
