About a week ago, I was telling you that power girl Pink's marriage was officially dead, and that the singer had decided to get a not-so-very-pink divorce from her husband, motocross star Carey Hart. At the time, word on the street (OK, metaphorically) was that the divorce was mainly due to the fact that Pink and her hubby had agreed on an open marriage - that is, a marriage in which they could both "play away from home". In other words, cheating was not such a deadly sin, as long as all the true love was reserved for their respective spouses. Now, I'm not married and I can still tell that this was not the best arrangement in known history. But if it worked for them, I suppose it was OK, at least for a while.
The fact is, up until now it was usually Carey who came across as the shameless womanizer who cheated on his wife and brought about the divorce. Well, surprise - it may not be so at all. In fact, things may be the other way around. The National Enquirer just broke a story and is quoting several insiders who point out that Pink is just as fond of the ladies as her soon to be ex husband, and did a little cheating herself. "It's no secret Pink likes women - and Carey's a notorious bad boy" an insider tells the Enquirer. "But when Pink walked down the aisle, she was intent on trying to give Carey unconditional love and he promised not to cheat in return. But in the past six months, they were both cheating" the source adds.
According to the source, Pink spent a lot of time over the past months getting her groove on at various popular Hollywood hotspots with an all-lady entourage, partying it up until the early hours of the morning. "They had an open relationship and it worked for a while. But at some point Pink quit telling Carey about her affair with women" states one of Carey's friends. "Then he'd find out and confront her. Eventually, he went back to womanizing and all that was left… was to divorce". Well, I still think it's sad, but on the other hand, it sounds like they didn't put too much effort into making things really work in the long run. Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted with the latest news.
