One of the performers at this Sunday's 2012 Billboard Awards was Chris Brown, who took to the stage to showcase one of his more recent hits, “Turn Up the Music.” If fans at home and in the audience loved it, Pink and husband Carey Hart certainly didn't.

Shortly after the awards show, Carey Hart took to his Twitter to cryptically say that one of the performances he'd just seen resembled one his wife had done years before, with the only exception that Pink did it so much better.

Fans assumed he was talking about Katy Perry, who sang “Wide Awake” while dangling and swirling on a silk scarf, which Pink also did at the Grammys 2010, when she performed “Glitter in the Air” in a similar fashion.

“Im pretty sure i saw my wife did that same performance, but she was 3 months pregnant and actually sang the song,” he wrote.

Fans were quick to jump at him for accusing Katy Perry of ripping off Pink with her number but, as it turns out, Carey wasn't talking about Katy but about Chris Brown.

“I love twitter! To clarify i was talkin trash bout CB performance, 2 years ago my wife had the same set and actually sang 'Raise ur Glass',” he mentioned in a later tweet.

Still, he added, “looks like someone else's fans got a bit wound up! Funny, that performance looked real familiar to.”

In other words, Carey specified he was referring to Chris Brown but still wouldn't let Katy off the hook, by saying she did rip off Pink with her aerial number.

When the “feud” got too intense, Pink chimed in to say that, no matter what one liked in terms of music, she and Carey couldn't help but appreciate only those artists who sing live.

“one day if i lipsync, i hope i do it as well as him.... for the record; i luv me some Katy, so y'all can jump off that run away train, k? i stand behind, always have and always will, LIVE SINGING,” Pink wrote.

“NOW EVERYBODY GO HUG SOMEONE! i just did. :) have a fantastic day,” she added.

Below is Chris Brown's performance at the 2012 Billboard Awards. You can tell he's lip-syncing, but whether Carey and Pink's criticism was merited is up to you to decide.
