Outspoken singer takes on the rapper in new interview

Pink has never been afraid or ashamed to speak her mind on whatever bothered her, and this is all the more true when it comes to something that goes against her beliefs as one of the biggest PETA supporters. When she recently met Kanye West, for instance, she was extremely upset about his insisting the fashion industry should use more fur, and she’s letting him know it via a new interview with Australia’s FHM, as quoted by The Sun.

The two met at a recent fashion show, where legendary musician Paul McCartney was also present. Pink, who is a supporter of PETA’s anti-fur campaign, was particularly upset about one of Kanye’s remarks, namely that the fashion collection they were being shown could have used more fur. Consequently, she wants to let him know that, if he sees wearing fur as such a glamorous thing, maybe she should make a coat out of his own skin, just to see what it’s like for those many animals who are killed for the sake of fashion.

“Kanye West is the person [expletive] me off right now. I was at Stella McCartney’s Paris fashion show with the vice president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Paul McCartney and Kanye West. The entire time Kanye is going, ‘They need more fur in this show.’ He just wouldn’t shut up about how he loved fur. I mean, he’s saying this to me, the PETA guy and Paul McCartney!” Pink rages in the latest interview.

Because of Kanye’s open disrespect for the animals who must be killed for fur, Pink even suggests in the same interview the rapper should donate his own “fur” to see how that must feel like. This is, as it already common knowledge, an argument PETA uses on a regular basis and which implies people showed the same respect to animals they show to all human beings. “I was just so grossed out by him. I’m like, ‘You’re an idiot!’ There are so many people who I think are a waste of skin and he’s up there. I should wear him. Go on, donate yourself Kanye. People can wear your fur.” the singer adds.

As we also reported a while ago, PETA President Ingrid Newkirk wrote her will and posted it online, and used it to support the longstanding cause of the organization. In the document, which supposedly has legal value as well, Newkirk disposes of her body the way she would material possessions and, among other things, she also suggests they use her skin to make gloves or some other accessory to prove to the world that animal skin and fur are just as valuable as human skin is – and using it for fashion is the same in both cases.
