She’s angered many before when she spoke out on issues pertaining to animal cruelty, but Pink is now facing the toughest crowd of them all: Disney fans. Pink picked on Selena Gomez for using painted ponies in one of her most recent videos.

Photos of Selena on the set of her latest video, for “Love You Like a Love Song,” emerged online and, while many people probably went “Aw, how cute!” at the sight of them, Pink is none too happy.

Most photos showed the Disney star standing next to a pair of ponies painted pink. While this may be every girl’s idea of cute, Pink thinks it’s inhuman and should never happen again.

“If there are any animal activists around Malibu- at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame,” the singer wrote on her Twitter.

Because they are public figures, entertainers should do their best not to set the wrong example, which was clearly not the case here.

“Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions,” Pink tweeted.

Only later did she find out that she’d actually picked on Selena Gomez, one of the most beloved Disney stars of recent times and, as of late, Justin Bieber’s official girlfriend.

“oh lord, THAT’S whose video it was? Disney fans unite. here we go. RT @PinkFans_ NEWS: @SelenaGomez fans are angry with @Pink,” Pink wrote when she learned whose videos it was that included painted horses.

Not that it mattered: where there’s animal cruelty, there’s Pink to speak up, she said.

“whether u r a fan of mine or whomEVER’S, i won’t stop speaking out about animal cruelty.i’ve taken responsibility in the past,so should she,” she says.

As of now, Selena hasn’t yet addressed this. According to online reports, if the horses were painted with non-toxic paint, the American Humane Society is ok with it.

If Selena’s people considered this before giving the horses a makeover, then she doesn’t have to say anything about the controversy.
