Video game hardware maker Nintendo says that a pink version of its 3DS XL handheld is now available in the United States exclusively via a deal with the shopping network Gilt.

The game comes bundled with either Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask or Style Savvy: Trendsetter and those who are willing to get it will have to pay 220 dollars (170 Euro).

Nintendo of America also says that the new pink console will only be offered in limited quantities and it is not clear whether the version will also be offered via normal retail means.

Pink and white models of the 3DS XL are available on the Japanese market, but Nintendo has previously said that they are just not popular enough in the United States in order to get a full retail release.

The XL version of the 3DS game is designed to offer more screen space for players in order to enjoy their titles and the device also has more battery life.
