More details have emerged regarding Justin Bieber's recent trip to New York with which he made headlines, after he was detained by customs officers for a couple of hours over suspected drug abuse.

A recent report by NBC claims that the entire trip from Canada to America on the private Gulfstream IV which the 19-year-old singer rented was difficult on the crew.

“The captain of the flight stated that he warned the passengers, including Bieber, on several occasions to stop smoking marijuana,” says an official source, who also adds “The captain also stated he needed to request that the passengers stop their harassing behavior toward the flight attendant and after several warnings asked the flight attendant to stay with him near the cockpit to avoid any further abuse.”

It seems that the passengers of the flight, which consisted of Bieber, his father, and a group of 10 friends that made up his entourage, were extremely abusive, smoking weed and coming on to the flight attendant.

The smoking was so intense that the pilots were forced to wear oxygen masks. Meanwhile, the attendant was forced to spend much of the flight in the cockpit. Despite being in a pressurized cabin, the pilots had to wear masks or risk inhaling marijuana fumes.

This was done so they wouldn't fail the subsequent drug test given out after the flight. To do so would have cost them their licenses.

“The flight attendant stated the passengers, including Bieber and his father, Jeremy Bieber were extremely abusive verbally and she would not work another flight with them,” says the same official report.

This explains why customs officers at the Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, held Justin and his friends several hours for questioning and searching the plane, after they said they smelled a strong marijuana odor on the plane.

However, a thorough search conducted with sniffing dogs that are trained to detect several kinds of drugs, yielded no positive results, meaning that there was no unsmoked marijuana left on board the plane.

None of the member of the flight was willing to file charges against the pop star or the rest of the passengers, so officers eventually allowed them entry into the country.

This is the latest worrying report linked to Justin Bieber that seems to be on a downward spiral at the moment. His named has been linked with drugs and alcohol for the past months, culminating with his arrest in Miami several weeks ago.
