LiveLeak posted this amazing footage of a plane landing that could have gone extremely wrong, but didn't. The incident happened this Friday, in Nevada, U.S.A. This pilot apparently had a Lockheed P-2V fire bomber air tanker with no landing gear on his hands. The gear failed to operate and he was forced to land the plane on its belly.
His quick-thinking saved his life, in what could have been a dramatic accident.
The air tanker slid along a dusty path near the overcrowded runway, until coming to a complete halt. The man landed the aircraft at the Miden-Tahoe Airport in Nevada.
Near the end of the video, you can see the pilot exiting the cockpit. Luckily, he was not hurt during the landing.
Ambulances, police cars and fire trucks are seen approaching the plane immediately after the landing.
