14 DAY TRIAL // Chopper pilots in China have competed in a contest that requires them to open beers with a helicopter.
The China Helicopter Tournament was held in Laiwu, Shangdong Province over three days, the uploader of the video above writes.
Each pilot has to open five beer bottles and he only has eight minutes to do it, so the task requires skills and precision.
According to the Daily Mail, participants get 40 points per bottle, if they leave them open and undamaged. In this clip, the pilot gets no points because he breaks the bottle.
“The game mainly tests pilot’s manipulation of the helicopter. We have to let the bottle opener get close to the beer bottle as much as possible,” fellow competitor Wang Xuefei describes.
The competition has been won by pilot Zhang Zhiqiang, with a three in five bottles score and 120 points.
