Even though an official Instagram client is yet to be released for Windows 8, those who still want to use the service from their Windows 8 device can turn to Piktr, the “modern Instagram client,” as its developer calls it.
The application comprises all the features an Instagram user would need, including Search charm integration to easily share a feature.
Follow and unfollow options will be introduced in the next version, the developer said, but the current build is also capable of providing a fast and fluid experience.

Surface RT owners and users of any other Windows RT tablet can deploy the app too. Of course, it’s available for free.
